Violet Maynard is no stranger to gospel music. She began singing with her parents in the hills of eastern Kentucky at the age of 3. Since then, she has shared her instrumental and vocal talents while traveling with several gospel groups through the years.

 

In 2005, God directed her path into a solo ministry. Although this new direction was unfamiliar territory, Violet, along with her husband Will, embraced God’s directive and began on a new journey. In all things God has a purpose and plan for our lives.  God also had a plan for this ministry.

 

What began as a solo ministry is now a family ministry known as Violet Maynard Family. Violet and her son Joshua play several instruments for the group to include piano, bass guitar and acoustic guitar. They also share vocal and songwriting responsibilities. Violet’s husband Will serves the group as sound technician.

 

This family group offers a blend of Country, Traditional and Southern Gospel music. They have been honored with several fan-voted Gospel music award nominations. As they travel throughout the United States, they are touching lives and sharing the gospel message of faith, hope and love.
